What Is a Talent Auction? We’re Glad You Asked!

Have you ever wished you could bid on a homemade pie, a few hours of yard work, a handcrafted gift, or even a special skill from someone in our church family? That’s exactly what a Talent Auction is all about.

A talent auction is a fun and meaningful way for us to share the gifts God has given each of us. Instead of donating store-bought items, church members offer their talents, skills, hobbies, or acts of kindness to be auctioned. Think homemade meals, baking, gardening help, pet sitting, music lessons, photography, handyman projects, rides to appointments, tech help, crafts, organizing, sewing, tutoring, or a special experience. If you have a gift, there’s probably a place for it in the auction.

The best part? A talent auction is about more than raising money. It helps us get to know one another, celebrate the unique ways God has gifted our congregation, and build community through generosity and laughter.

Now it’s your turn. We need your talents!

We invite everyone to submit an item, service, experience, or skill to be included in this year’s Talent Auction. No talent is too small or too unusual. Sometimes the most popular auction items are the simplest ones offered with love.

What gift could you share? A meal? A helping hand? A lesson? A handmade creation? A fun outing?
