Stewardship Update

As of the end of April 2026, the General Fund remains in a strong financial position. Contributions year to date totaled $191,143, which is $27,776 (17%) above budget. Total revenues for the year stand at $205,762, exceeding budget expectations by $27,790 (15.6%).

Expenses continue to be well managed overall. Total year-to-date expenses were $178,208, including Mission Shares, which places expenses slightly under budget by approximately $467.

Several ministry areas remained under budget, including Staff Parish, which was $2,217 below budget, Worship Ministry, which was $224 under budget, and Fellowship Ministry, where no expenses were incurred and spending was $375 under budget. Administrative and Operating expenses and Trustees expenses both remained very close to budget.

After accounting for all expenses, including Mission Shares, the General Fund shows a net gain of $27,554 year to date, which is $27,324 better than expected at this point in the year.

The church’s financial position reflects strong generosity and careful stewardship as we continue supporting the ministries and mission of the congregation.

 What CAPABLE Stands For

CAPABLE = Community Aging in Place — Advancing Better Living for Elders.

Purpose

CAPABLE helps older adults with functional limitations live more safely and independently in their own homes and communities rather than moving to assisted living or nursing facilities.

How It Works

Over roughly 4–5 months, each participant works one-on-one with an interdisciplinary team that includes:

  • An occupational therapist (OT) — helps improve daily functioning and problem-solving, like safer ways to bathe or walk around the home.

  • A registered nurse (RN) — addresses health-related issues that affect mobility, medication management, or balance.

  • A handy worker — makes minor home modifications (like installing grab bars or improving lighting) to make the environment safer and easier to navigate.

Importantly, the participant drives the goals — they choose what matters most to them (e.g., walking more easily, bathing safely, preparing meals), and the team collaborates to help meet those goals.

Sponsored by the Good Faith Network, Habitat for Humanity and Midland Care. Brochures in the Commons or from Pastor Shelly.

Crew Members may be asked to:

• Set up or take down chairs and tables

• Help decorate for holidays and special seasons

• Assist with funeral or memorial services

• Prepare spaces for events or meetings

• Help with simple tasks that make church life run

smoothly

COMPASSION FUND

As we approach the holiday season, many families in our community are facing tough times. We are seeking your support through gift card donations to help build our Compassion Fund, which provides essential assistance to those in need.

We’re looking for gift cards ($25 limit) from:

  • Fast Food Restaurants for quick meals.

  • Gas Stations to help with transportation costs.

  • Walmart for groceries and essentials.

Gift cards give families the flexibility to choose their needed resources, respecting their dignity and preferences.

Please drop off your gift card donations at the church office or feel free to place them in the offering plate on Sundays. Thank you for helping us support those in need!
